Prayer Breakfasts

At Kingdom Harvest we believe it is essential for Christians to pray for those in authority as the Word of God in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 instructs us:

Our last NATIONAL PRAYER BREAKFAST was on Wednesday, November 9th 8:30am in the Stormont Hotel Ballroom with Pst John Rood. Pst John spoke on the 300 References to Christ's 2nd Coming. It was excellent!

1 Timothy 2:1-4 says, "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."

To this end, Prayer Breakfasts are held regularly for local Councils and an annual National Prayer Breakfast for our MLAs (Ministers of the Legislative Assembly). These valuable times bring together inspiring guest speakers, local government representatives, Church and community leaders, and praying Christians from across the country.

We were VERY blessed to have Belfast City Council and the Lord Mayor, Cllr Arder Carson, invite us to hold the "Belfast City Council Prayer Breakfast" in Belfast City Hall last November. We are SO thankful for politicians who see the value of these times.

Sir Nigel Hamilton KCB DL, the former Head of the N Ireland Civil Service, spoke excellently at the breakfast, offering hope and great encouragement through the highlighting of scriptural promises he has personally relied upon to see him safely through some of his life's toughest challenges, including surviving cancer.

This January, we were able to join with Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council to hold a Prayer Breakfast in their beautiful Council headquarters at "The Mill". The Mayor, Councillor John Scott, was an excellent host as Chief Superintendant Stephen Cargin, Head of Justice for the PSNI, shared a stirring message of Christian responsibility in a challenging world. We are all very thankful for everyone who helped to make this event so immensely successful!

God says:

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." - 2 Chronicles 7:14

Proverbs 14:34 says, " Righteousness exalts a nation… "

If we do our part, God will do His part! He is "Faithful and True!"

James 5:16 says, “The effective heart-felt fervent prayer of a righteous man makes much power available!” (AMP)

We are looking for churches and individuals who will link arms with us to take the Council Prayer Breakfasts to every Council in N Ireland and the United Kingdom! If you or your Church would like to partner with us and help make this a reality, please contact us!
